ECO Cultural Institute, CHTHO sign MOU 
TEHRAN – Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization (CHTHO) and the Economic Cooperation Organization’s Cultural Institute in Tehran have signed a memorandum of understanding.
The MOU was inked on Tuesday by ECO Cultural Institute Director Iftikhar Hussain Arif and CHTHO Research Center Director Jalil Golshan on the sidelines of the opening ceremony for an exhibition of Iranian handicrafts at the institute.
According to the agreement, the two parties will hold joint workshops and educational courses on preservation of cultural heritage.
Nabokov’s “Lectures on Literature” translated into Persian 
TEHRAN -- A Persian translation of Russian-American novelist Vladimir Nabokov’s “Lectures on Literature” has been translated into Persian.
Farzaneh Taheri has translated the book, which will be published by Nilufar Publications in the near future.
The book contains lectures Nabokov conducted on renowned authors like James Joyce, Marcel Proust, Charles Dickens and Jane Austin.
Another translation of “Animal Farm” appears in Persian
TEHRAN – Another translation of George Orwell’s classic novel “Animal Farm” has appeared in Persian.
Ahmad Kasaipur translated the book, which has been released by Mahi Publications.
Several Persian versions of “Animal Farm” have previously been published in Iran. The first Persian translation, rendered by Amir Amirshahi and published by Franklin Publications, came out in 1969.
