TEHRAN -- A book on historical and cultural relations between Iran and Georgia compiled by the Georgian Iranologist Jemshid Giunashvili has been published in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Entitled “50-Year-old Report Card”, the book has been published by the Iranian cultural attaché’s office in the Persian language.

The book contains articles Giunashvili has written on Iran during his 50-year career in Iranian studies, cultural attaché Ehsan Khazaei said in a press release on Wednesday.

Iran’s cultural attaché’s office is seeking a program to support Georgian scholars who are interested in Iranian research projects, Khazaei added.

He said that his office also welcomes translations and compilations about Iran.

He expressed his hope that the publication of the book pushes young scholars into studying Iranian culture and civilization.
