Russian Duma Deputy, Tehran Mayor Meet

TEHRAN Deputy Speaker of the Russian State Duma Artur Chilingarov and Russian visiting delegation here Sunday meet with Tehran Mayor, Morteza Alviri. Chlingarov said out of eastern cities, Tehran is a clean, beautiful, and safe city with friendly people, suitable roads, streets, and building reported public relations and international office of Tehran Municipality. Chlingarov referring to Tehran and Moscow as two big cities in the region stated due to similarities and strength between two capitals cooperations in various areas including public transportations is feasible.

Chlingarov while congratulating Alviri on his recent election to post of Tehran mayor conveyed the greetings of Moscow Mayor, Luzhkov and invited him to make a visit to Moscow. Alviri on the other hand said that all activities witnessed in the city of Tehran is due to efforts made by the former mayor of Tehran, Gholamhussein Karbaschi. Alviri underscored the necessity of expansion of cooperation between Tehran and Moscow and added Tehran and Moscow could have good cooperations using each others experiences.

Alviri too invited Moscow mayor to make a visit to Tehran. (IRNA)
