TEHRAN President Seyed Mohammad Khatami in a message read by Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ataollah Mohajerani opened the Week of Cultural Heritage yesterday. The president's message underscored the need for understanding and preserving cultural heritage which we should develop deep within our hidden psyche. Our individual and social relations should be the manifestation of our cultural heritage just like our political, scientific, economic and educational relations, the message read in part.

The celebration of the World Day for Museum and Cultural Heritage was held in Iran National Museum and attended also by head of the Cultural Heritage Organization and a number of artists, professors and researchers.
