TEHRAN - Iran is among world's 10 major polio vaccine producing countries, said head of Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Insitute Mohammadi here on Tuesday. Mohammadi said that all vaccines required for vaccination of children under five against polio over the past three years had been all produced at his institute by Iranian experts. He said that World Health Organization (WHO) has called on the vaccine producing countries, including Iran, to cooperate with it in providing other countries with polio vaccines to uproot the disease.

Voicing his insitute's readiness to have any kind of cooperation with WHO, Mohammadi said that two drops of polio vaccines are valued at nine cents at the world markets. He also said that presently more than 150 Iranian experts are engaged in Razi institute. (IRNA)
